So admittedly Agency Wars had been on my bucket list of things to do for some time, however with the Wedding Out of the Way from July, felt like now was as good a time as ever to move on to the next challenge along the way. I call out my Agency Wars training as being foundational to building some good heathy-living habits that lived through with me from that point forward.

Mood: (*Note - this ended up being my walkout song too!!)
The Experience:
Starting with the "O.G.'s" of the Agency Wars Heavyweight division, Jeff + Liam IMO have been instrumental in selling in the idea of the event to would-be, future competitors.
Their relentless Social media banter in the weeks leading up to the fight really helped sell some tickets and managed to keep everyone talking about it for months later:

Evidenced by Brad's joining a year prior to my experience:

.. left Jordan and I with no choice but to signup the following year (put up or shut up time!!):
It didn't start / end with the photoshoots however, as a lot of work went into preparing for a 3-Round fight. From Hill-Runs to Suicide-Sprints, there was a lot of work put-in to get in what I would say was arguably the best shape of my life!!

.. See if you can spot me keeled over about to lose my lunch all over the grass!!
Of course we had some fun with the social media cataloguing of our journey too:
... 2nd picture was after finishing sparring with Brad when he broke open the stitching on my face from that hook I never saw coming!! 3rd picture was from the 1st time I dropped the heavy bag from the ceiling mount through hard punching drills. #Lethal
All of this led up to a pretty cool experience making my Amateur Boxing debut in front of a live-crowd of 1,000+:
(Slow Motion Highlight from when the Ref stepped in to stop things for going really south):
.. Despite a split-decision loss on points that night, my Agency Wars experience helped me to discover my love of the sport of Boxing and the development of several healthy-living habits that I continued to develop in the weeks / months / years afterwards. It was out of this experience that my mantra of being mentally ready to go #OneMoreRound 'on-a-dime' in life was brought to life.

It was also the inspiration for the logo for this domain:
Those habits drove me to take up Boxing lessons after the fact and improve my skillset in the sport. I joined a local Boxing Gym called Rebook CrossFit Firepower in Milton and am to this day, grateful for my time there.

This combined experience really developed the 'technical' aspects of Boxing that I didn't have time to absorb fully during Agency Wars, helping me to grow into a future training support partner for multiple friends of mine who have gone through the Agency Wars Circuit themselves in subsequent Years:

(Sample training from Sotero's camp):
.. And working on defence reading what's coming, creating angles and taking away space - he wasn't allowed to hit Sam back and had to react to getting peppered:
Boxing + Agency Wars was never just about boxing, although I'd argue it definitely helped cement some life-long Brotherhood friendships which are among my best to this day:

The other major Life Event tied to Agency Wars was the introduction to my Family Dr.; Dr. Zoudis. The circumstances under meeting him were on my exit out of the fight I had in his (then) capacity as the ringside Dr. Under post-fight examination, Dr. Zoudis asked that I follow up with my Family Dr. the following day, to which I had to reply to him that I didn't have one. When saying that, he offered for me to manage my follow up with his office, and from the following day in 2015 - have been under his direct care and supervision.
